Sunday's OOTD

Sunday is always my "no work" day. Which means I still work, but I love it so much it just doesn't feel like work.

I chose something really easy and casual today. I'm the kind of person who just wants to stay in jeans and a t-shirt all day, so if you're like me, you have to buy really cute comfortable clothes. Instead of corton hoodies, I buy chiffon colorblocked hoodies. Instead of sweat pants, I buy harem pants. I basically trick my lazy self into being fashionable.

Anywhoo- here's my OOTD. All I have planned today is a bit of paperwork and then duck feeding in the afternoon.

OOTD Vintage Sundress

Here is my OOTD. I paired a Blue Vintage Sundress from Arad Boutique and an Amber Statement necklace (also from Arad Boutique) with a Chunky Knit Cardigan and tan Booties!

What I love about this dress is the corset style cincher in the back. You can tighten it and give yourself a nice shape. The material is also very silky, and the floral pattern is great for fall since its not overly colorful and flowery.

The cardigan is awesome because of its non- shape shape. Its just a hot mess of chunky knit, my dream come true.

These booties are my favorite from last season, I got them on sale for $29 at Hudson Belk and they're the perfect height for toting around kids.

NYFW: Victoria Beckham Collection

 

So NYFW is here. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only do you get to see what awesome new ideas the Designers have come up with, but you also get to preview the upcoming trends.My favorite collection so far, and one of my favorite designers of the last 3 years is Victoria Beckham. She just gets it, ya know? I understand a lot of people criticize that she only designs for thin, runway model type figures, but I have seen curvy women wearing her dresses who look fabulous in the designs.

Here is the whole collection.

The picture above is probably my favorite look, although I could do without the shoes. I'm all about nude pumps for elongating the legs, but this model looks barefoot- not cool. This look has all of my favorite elements: a cut that compliments femininity, geometric shapes, and mesh. The asymmetric detail in the skirt completely seals the deal for me. Let's not even mention the bag.

This dress is so fun and flirty. I love the ruffle bottom skirt paired with the geometric design top.
